What makes them think that with so many issues to worry about the whole world is focused on just one issue: 1MDB? They are suggesting that with the world facing conflicts and chaos at every corner of the planet the US President has time for nothing else but for only one issue.

According to an in-depth international politics talk show, China is the main reason behind Singapore’s recession today and the plot started from as far back as 10 years ago.

Host A: Recent quarterly figures GDP revealed that Singapore’s economy has seen a fall of 4.1%, and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said “our economy will eventually turned for the better”. What he exactly mean is that Singapore’s situation is seriously dire, and when will the economy turn for the better – nobody knows.

At a recent dialogue, a university student questioned Lee Hsien Loong “will I still have a future in Singapore? Will we still have good jobs? Why did the Singapore economy suddenly turned for the worst?”

This has to do with China’s One-Belt One-Road policy and Malaysia is a key player in this policy. In recent years, China has been heavily investing in neighbouring state Johor Bahru’s infrastructures – seaport, airport and even now the railway system.

This also means Singapore’s status as a seaport country has been replaced by Shanghai. This year, Singapore’s transport volume is only 80% of Shanghai. Also, China no longer pass their sea goods via Singapore and has instead passed them to neighbouring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.

Hal 1MDB open secret, Rafizi fitnah LTAT

Initpatinya:

Rafizi has been found guilty of breaking the OSA laws and sentenced to 18 months jail. This is no surprise as Rafizi himself had admitted to being guilty.

Rafizi has also been granted a stay of execution pending his appeal and will remain MP.

But this will disqualify him from seeking re-election until he gets a favourable outcome in his appeal.

He was not sentenced for "exposing 1MDB's monstrous scandal" as what  Pakatan is claiming.

He was sentenced for being ill-advised in breaking the law for exposing one page of the 1MDB's Auditor General Report - which was already read by 4 Pakatan MPs including Tony Pua.

He had revealed the OSA document to "expose" that LTAT has links with 1MDB but has not been fully paid - something we all know already as news of LTAT being awarded the contract by 1MDB to move the Sg Besi air-base and to develop the 8 replacement military bases is public info.

In any case, LTAT has not lost any money and has been repaid by 1MDB and will be fully paid by the Bandar Malaysia project where the IWH-China Rail consortium has a 60% ownership.

Therefore, Rafizi's OSA "expose" is totally wasted and ill-advised.

LTAT lost no money at all and in fact, HAD MADE money and will continue to make money from the construction works of the military bases and from the contract to move the Sg Besi airbase.

This is the fourth straight court loss for various cases for Rafizi. Has anyone lost more court cases in a row?

He still has other court cases - civil and criminal pending.

His 4 years-old BAFIA case which is as clear cut as anything and also the LTAT, Tabung Haji and Najib-Rosmah (saya hanya bergurau) cincin cases to deal with,

I can only say that Rafizi asked for this. And now he has got what he wanted.

Opposition lawmaker sentenced for breaking Official Secrets Act did not Blow any Whistle 

1. A Member of Parliament, Rafizi Ramli was found guilty by our courts and sentenced to 18 months jail for breaking our Official Secrets Act by publicly distributing material from the Auditor-General's Report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). 

2. A stay of execution has already been granted pending Rafizi's appeal process and he remains free to discharge his duties. 

3. Prior to Rafizi's offence, five members of parliament from our federal opposition, who are members of our Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC), has had full access to this document,  

4. This document was one of the many sources of information which was used to come out with the final PAC report which was eventually released to the public in April of this year 

5. What Rafizi exposed was neither an act of whistle-blowing nor did he "expose" anything materially important about 1MDB. 

6. Despite being warned not to do so, Rafizi had distributed materials from this AG Report, which was marked as Official Secret then  to "prove" that 1MDB had a business relationship with our Armed Forces Pension Fund (LTAT).  

7. He had also alleged that due to this relationship, certain outstanding payments from 1MDB to LTAT had caused the pension fund to come under financial pressure resulting in 110 persons out of 450,000 veterans not receiving their gratuity payments in time. 

8. However, the fact that 1MDB had contracted LTAT to build 8 military bases and to relocate an existing air base has been public knowledge since 2013 when this contract was publicly announced.  

9. Both LTAT and 1MDb had also clarified that there were no outstanding or late payments. 

10. LTAT also clarified that the out of 70 persons out of the 110 that was submitted by Rafizi were already paid while the balance 40 were not paid then due to incomplete or late submission of documents. 

11. Rafizi has a track record of making allegations that later turned out to be untrue. In October, he had lost a civil case to for defamation of a private company. 

12. Despite being fully aware that he would be breaking the law and despite being repeatedly warned, Rafizi deliberately used a document that was classified to further his own political agenda to "expose" something that was already public knowledge in order to support his allegations that were later found to be untrue.  

13. Malaysia is not unique in having legislation to protect government confidentiality and no country can operate with citizens deliberately breaking the law and being allowed to get away with it.
